White Chili RecipeWhite Chili Serves 6 By Sandi Sciuk
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
1 med onion diced
1 1/2 tsps garlic powder or fresh
1 Tbsp olive oil or vegetable
2 cans (15 1/2 oz) of white beans drained
1 can of chicken broth (14 1/2 oz)
2 cans (4 oz) of chopped green chilies
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp oregano
1/2 tsp pepper I use the white pepper
1/2 tsp cayanne pepper
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream
In a pot warm oil: add chicken, onion, garlic. Cook til chicken is no longer pink.
Add Beans, Broth, and seasonings bring to a boil.
Reduce heat Simmer for 30 minutes
Remove from heat
Add the sour cream and whipping cream.
You can garnish with chopped green onions and grated cheeses.
Serve immediately with warmed tortillas. ENJOY
PS
This can also be thrown into a crock pot for the day on low adding the sour cream and whipping cream before serving!
