Hey everyone remember we will be meeting at Callihans at 9:00am and then going to the art festival that ken mentioned. We will not be having our normal meet and greet.We will be eatting up there. I can't remember the details so I e-mailed ken to send me the info. I will post it as soon as I find out. If anyone else has info please let us know.

I will say this. I couldn't find anything on line so I hope Ken wasn't leading us a stray. If things fall through we can always still have our meet and greet at Callihans.

Ken emailed me and this is what he said.
It is called "Journey of Artists" Art Show. It is put on by the Lynn Forbes
Sculpture School. They teach sculpture to Blind, Disadvantage, children and
adults.
They have invited Artists from around the country to be in this show. Betty
was chosen to show her work. It is not an Arts & Crafts show and is in a
Gallery. You can walk through the galleries and look at the art. It has run
I month and next weekend is the last few days.

They have Free entertainment out side every day from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
It is located at 300 Carlsbad Village drive. Downtown Carlsbad. There is a
restaurant
located on the corner of Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Blvd. (101 Hwy)
It is in that center behind the restaurant.

There are restaurants and shops as well as the entertainment.

The Art Show runs daily from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Parking is pretty good.

I think we should meet at the same time. Maybe stay for an hour and a half, (ice tea or what ever)
to keep our relationship good with the people at Callihans then head up as a group.
Lets make a day of it. What does everyone else think?
It sure breaks up the routine of the same thing every month.

Everyone will get to meet my brother. He is coming up saturday to pick up the bicycle. I'm giving it to my grand niece. She is nine and the perfect age. At first I was going to domate it to toys for tots but I asked the marines at work and they said that it was a great thought but they were concerned that it was a higher priced item. Hey at least I will be a hit with my grand niece.

Has anyone heard from Gary, Mary, Shirley or Jerry? I talked to Ken last night and he is going to try and get us an area to park together, (coned off) but needs to have an idea of how many cruisers are going up. On another note Ken and Betty had an accident in Betty's cruiser.

It got smashed pretty bad and is at the body shop. Ken got a bump on his head and Betty got banged up in the chest but both said they are doing ok. To bad about the Cruiser. I will let Ken tell you the details when we see him Saturday. In the mean time everyone have a safe weekend

Sorry to hear about Betty's car, but i'm glad that Ken and Betty are okay. That's the most important thing.
