Formed a new Social group in our areaRecently where I live over here we formed a new group to enjoy our PT times together, a Social group, not a club. People here liked the idea of just doing whatever, whenever with no ties to anyone or any club.
So with that SOUTHERN CRUIZIN CHRYSLERS was born. A coffee here, a dinner there and a cruise thrown in somewhere every now and again.
Simple is what they said and simple is what they get.
Tomorrow night is our official first dinner and we will at the same time celebrate the birthday of Tony who is in our group. Then on sat we will go to a local town about 25 mins away and have a lunch at a local hotel where another family has just moved to and they own 2 PT's.
About 10 PT's so far and we have had enquiries also from some of the older type Chrysler boys about joining in also. The more the merrier. It's about friendship and having a good time without the hassles.

That sounds great Chief. I myself like the idea. But I am like a lot of other people that feel better belonging to a group. I like putting in the time and gathering ideas that make up am origanized group, (in other words a club). What we did when we put this together is make it simple and didn't repeat the same mistakes that always plaged the old ways.
What I always thought was wrong was that in the end I didn't have a say so in how the club developed. It was always run by a director or president. This club everyone has a say so and one of our club motos is that friends are aloud to disagree. When I come up with an idea that no one else likes , I don't take it personel because I know that what the whole group wants is best for the club in the long run. I am not against what you are doing. I think its great. Its just I feel better in a club setting. It makes me feel like I belong to something and I helped develop it into what it is and will be a part of how it grows in the future. Terry I agree in principle with you but sometimes it just doesn't work as good as it should. I won't go into that on a public forum.
