Another club foldsAs most of you have heard by now PTCC has shut down their forum. I'm assuming that means the club has gone that way too, (forgive me if I assume wrong) The same thing happened a while back with PTOC. That left a lot of people wondering if this was it with the PT clubs. I sat back and thought about it and said to myself I'm not going to let this be the end. After all I just got involved a short time ago and was getting to really know people out side my area. So I thought about it for a long time as to why this happened and if I get involved again is the same thing going to happen again. I feel that when one person has ownership over the whole operation, (President, Director or equal) that if that person desides to leave, call it quits or gets ill then that puts everyone else out in the dark. So when I put this idea of the PT Cruisers of San Diego club for others to join I said we will not let one person run the club. we will do everything as a group, Every thing is decided and voted on as a group. The only thing I feared that would hold us back is if people were divided on a major issue and that could drive us apart. So from the start it was made clear that when we have disagreements, that friends are allowed to disagree and if the majority of the club votes against how you feel just remember at the end we are still friends with a common interest.
The reason for telling you all this is, if your feeling the way I was when the PTOC closed up that this doesn't have to be the end. If you have three or four people in your area thats enough to get it started. It will not be the same but it could grow into something a whole lot better than before.
